And yes, Haquiles is right, it's NOT that I am on vacation (poor me!), but I just wish everybody who is a happy time. Oh, and the suitcase is from J. Crew, I leave the Vuitton vanity to your imagination...

Y sí, Haquiles tiene razón, NO es que yo esté de vaciones (¡pobre de mí!), sólo os deseo a todos que sí lo estáis lo paséis bien. Ah, y la maleta es de J. Crew, dejo el neceser de Vuitton a vuestra imaginación...

Holidays

I only had a few days off myself, but if you're lucky and going somewhere these days enjoy it as much as you can: flirt, drink mojitos, eat, dance, swim, but remember to carry suncreen and condoms in your Vuitton vanity case, and please drive carefully.

Yo solo he tenido unos pocos días, pero si tenéis suerte y os váis a algún lado estos días pasadlo lo mejor que podáis: ligad, bebed mojitos, comed, bailad, nadad, pero acordaos de llevar filtro solar y condones en vuestro neceser de Vuitton, y por favor conducid con cuidado.

As Karl says: "It's yellow, it's ugly, it doesn't go with anything, but it can save your life."

Como dice Karl: "Es amarillo, es feo, no pega con nada, pero os puede salvar la vida."

Silent

A glamorous funeral, shot by Steven Meisel for the August issue of Vogue Italia, five beautiful widows in exquisite mourning clothes and their handsome escorts. It could be just another wonderful editorial but this time for me it is very special. It happens that the lady that appears on Linda's arm in picture 5, and later in pictures 10, 12, 13, 15 and 16... is my mother! 

Writing about her deserves a long post, but for the moment I'll tell you she worked as a model during the 60's and 70's with photographers like Helmut Newton, David Bailey, Norman Parkinson and many others, and also did runway shows in the 70's, the most memorable of which were for Yves Saint Laurent. After modeling she started a designer career, but as I said it deserves another post.

Un glamuroso funeral fotografiado por Stven Meisel para Vogue Italia, cinco bellas viudas exquisitamente ataviadas de luto y sus apuestos acompañantes. Podría ser tan solo otro maravilloso editorial pero esta vez para mí es muy especial. Resulta que la dama que aparece del brazo de Linda en la foto 5, y después en las fotos 10, 12, 13 15 y 16... ¡es mi madre!

Escribir sobre ella merece un largo post, pero por el momento os cuento que que trabajó de modelo en los años 60 y 70 con fotógrafos como Helmut Newton, David Bailey, Norman Parkinson y muchos otros, y también hizo muchos desfiles en os 70, de los cuales los más memorables fueron para Yves Saint Laurent. Después de ser modelo comenzó una carrera como diseñadora, pero como os decía merece otro post.
