Future Zen master - Futuro maestro Zen

As you maybe realized, as soon as I publish a couple of posts about fashion I need to jump to something else. I have a joke with my friend Itzel Bunchen (I need to write a long post about her!) that in my old days I will be a Zen master, sitting under a japanese maple, it's fiery leaves falling around me, in front of a tea-house that of course would be very wabi-sabi. 

In the meantime here is one of my modest haikus:

The wind is shaking

the boughs of the cherry tree.

It's snowing petals.

Si os habéis dado cuenta, en cuanto publico un par de entradas sobre moda tengo que saltar a otra cosa. Tengo una broma con mi amiga Itzel Bunchen (¡tengo que dedicarlo un largo post!) que de mayor seré un maestro Zen, sentado bajo un arce japonés, sus hojas color fuego cayendo a mi alrededor, delante de una casa de té que por supuesto sería muy wabi-sabi*.

I think that precisely the japanese have such a pure sense of style because of Zen philosophy. Since I'm talking about Japan, a few things japanese or japan-related:

I wanted to avoid making my list list of the best (Pilati, Prada, Ghesquière, Elbaz) and worst (Marc Jacobs!) of 2007, so instead I'll bid this year goodbye with the story on Penelope Cruz published in the december issue of Vogue. 

OK, it's heavy with cliché, as if we only had bullfighters, flamenco and Almodovar in Spain, but Pe looks gorgeous the pictures are beautiful. I picked a couple so you can get a front and back view of Cayetano Rivera...

Quería evitar hacer mi lista de lo mejor (Pilati, Prada, Ghesquière, Elbaz) y lo peor (¡Marc Jacobs!) de 2007, así que en vez de eso despediré el año con el reportaje sobre Penélope Cruz publicado en el número de diciembre de Vogue (USA). 

Vale, está lleno de tópicos, como si sólo tuvieramos toreros, flamenco y Almodóvar en España, pero Pe está espectacular y las fotos son preciosas. Elejí un par de ellas para que podáis ver a Cayetano Rivera de frente y de espaldas...
