I've said already that I was a bit tired about the whole fashion trend thing. We are now almost through the spring runways and of course we've seen some interesting things (we still have to see what our dear Stefano has prepared for us this time) but... I just find it tiresome in a way. One designer though that reconciles me with clothes is Martin Grant, I love the way his collections are so real, new without being extreme, and always elegant. He's maybe not going to change the history of fashion, but he sure makes some beautiful clothes. And another thing I love is that he shows them not on a twelve year old Russian model but on a real woman: British model Susie Bick is fourty and fabulous.And something I read (which I thought was just a rumor but is apparently confirmed): Sonia Rykiel for H&M, what do you think?
Ya he dicho que estaba un poco cansado de todo el rollo de la moda y las tendencias. Ya casi acaban las pasarelas de primavera y por supuesto hemos visto cosas interesantes (nos queda ver que nos ha preparado nuestro querido Stefano) pero... lo encuentro todo un poco cansino. Sin embargo si hay un diseñador que me reconcilia con la ropa ese es Martin Grant, me encanta lo reales que son sus colecciones, nuevas sin ser extremadas y siempre elegantes. Tal vez no sea él quien cambie la historia de la moda, pero lo que sí hace es ropa preciosa. Y otra cosa que me encanta es que no la presenta sobre una modelo rusa de doce años sino sobre una mujer de verdad: la modelo británica Susie Bick tiene cuarenta años y está estupenda.
Y algo que he leído (pensaba que era un rumor pero por lo visto está confirmado): Sonia Rykiel para H&M, ¿qué opináis?
