Haha, well, I don't think there will be a spin-off blog about Willy right now (sorry), but I'm sure she will delight us with one of her interesting stories once in a while, and keep visiting Mini Mad Mod, which by the way is in the the process of becoming a full grown web site. I'll keep you informed.

So anyways... I don't know about you, but I haven't bought any new clothes this season, and with the crisis and all that it seems it's all about recycling. The interesting thing is that often fashion is more about details, and more about how you wear things than what you wear. Wrapping a scarf the right way, rolling up the sleeves of your old blazer to make it casual, and just adding the right accessory, little things that can make you look modern and cool with no or very little expense... isn't that just what we need in this troubled times? 

In this spirit, I liked this way of rolling up your jeans (or your dress pants, for that matter) that turned up at the Milan fashion week: a narrower roll, folding them over twice. It looks new with a little 80's feel to it, it makes your pants look cropped, and it's great for lazy people like me who never sew the hems of their pants!

Jaja, bueno no creo que haya un blog "spin-off" de Willy por el momento (lo siento), pero seguro que nos seguirá deleitando de vez en cuando con sus interesantes historias, y seguid visitando Mini Mad Mod, que por cierto está en el proceso de convertirse en toda una página web. Os tendré informados.

Así que... no sé vosotros, pero yo no me he comprado nada de ropa esta temporada, y con la crisis y todo eso parece ser que de lo que se trata es de reciclar. Lo interesante es que a menudo la moda es más el detalle, más como llevas las cosas que realmente lo que llevas. Atando un pañuelo de una forma especial, remangando tu vieja blazer para que parezca más "casual", o añadiendo el complemento adecuado, pequeñas cosas que te hacen parecer moderno y "cool" sin gastar nada o casi nada... ¿no es lo que necesitamos en estos tiempos difíciles?

En este espíritu me gustó esta forma de enrollar los vaqueros (e incluso pantalones de vestir) que se ha visto en la semana de la moda de Milán: más estrecho y doblado dos veces sobre sí. Tiene un aspecto nuevo, con un toque de los '80, el pantalón queda más tobillero, ¡y es ideal para vagos como yo que nunca se cosen el dobladillo de los pantalones!

I never take pictures of people on the street, but I just had to this time, they were both so cute and shy. I didn't have my camera so I took it with my mobile phone, and I'm not a very good photographer, but believe me, his jacket was so nice... if I wasn't this nice Zen person (haha) I would have been green with envy.

Nunca hago fotos de gente por la calle, pero esta vez tenía que hacerlo, eran tan monos y tímidos. No tenía mi cámara así que la hice con el móvil, y no soy muy buen fotógrafo, pero creedme, la chaqueta de él era tan bonita... si yo no fuera esta persona maja y Zen (jeje) me hubiera puesto verde de envidia.

In any case, I got this nice message from "anonymous" in my last post, it's really stimulating that new people bother to go through the whole archive and bring positive input that deserves a post, something serious I have to think about quietly... definitely not something I can write when I've been going out the night before...

On the other hand some anonymous are simply obnoxious, like one that visited Raquel's blog recently, confusing eunuchs with homosexuals... it's so stupid. Personally I feel as much of a man as any other, regardless of my orientation. Being all the same and different at the same time is what makes the world an interesting place, right? Anyways, I always thought that homophobes have issues with their own sexuality...

En todo caso, recibí un mensaje muy amable de "anónimo" en mi último post, es realmente estimulante que alguien nuevo se moleste en leerse todo el archivo y aporte opiniones positivas que se merecen un post, algo serio sobro lo que tengo que pensar con calma... desde luego no es algo que pueda escribir si he salido la noche anterior...

Por otra parte algunos anónimos son simplemente enervantes, como uno que visitó el blog de Raquel hace poco, confundiendo eunucos y homosexuales... que idiotez. Personalmente me siento tan hombre como cualquiera, independientemente de mi orientación. Ser todos iguales y diferentes a la vez es lo que hace el mundo un sitio interesante, no? De todas formas siempre pensado que los homófobos tienen ahí un tema con su propia sexualidad...
