Lucio mentions the famous photo shoot scene from Antonioni's "Blow-Up" (1966) in his post about Peggy Moffitt and Rudy Gernreich. I'll try to find out who the other models are and I'll come back to the film in another post, I'm a bit lazy today (saturday night side-effects), but here is the scene itself:

Intentaré averiguar quienes son las demás modelos y volveré sobre la película en otro post, hoy estoy vago (efectos del sábado noche), pero aquí tenéis la escena en sí:
And this has nothing to do with the film (or maybe yes?), I read today an interview with philosopher André Compte-Sponville in "El País Semanal". Of all the very interesting things he says two specially drew my attention: that there is more happiness in action than in hope, because if you want what doesn't depend on yourself you'll be afraid that it won't happen, and what he calls "happy hopelessness": once we have understood that there are things we can't control and that all that awaits us is death, we realize that the best we can do is enjoy as much as possible the life we have.
(Funny, I started this blog to talk fashion and all sort of frivolous things, and look where we're getting at!)

Y esto no tiene nada que ver con la película (¿o tal vez sí?), leí hoy una entrevista con el filósofo André Compte-Sponville en "El País Semanal". De todas las cosas muy interesantes que dice dos me llamaron la atención: que hay más felicidad en la acción que en la esperanza, porque si deseas lo que no depende de ti tendrás miedo de que no suceda, y lo que él llama la "alegre deseperanza": una vez que hemos entendido que hay cosas que no podemos controlar y que sólo nos espera la muerte, nos damos cuenta que lo mejor que podemos hacer es disfrutar al máximo de la vida que tenemos.
(Curioso, empecé este blog para hablar de moda y todo tipo de cosas frívolas ¡y mira a lo que estamos llegando!)
Por cierto, había cerrado mi fotolog pero lo he vuelto a abrir.
